Laval University

Situated at the confluence of the European tradition and North America, Université Laval has a lot to offer to students from Québec and all around the world who want to get a high quality university education in a dynamic research environment. Université Laval is firmly established as a leader among large research universities in Canada and in the francophone world.

Why Laval?

Quebec CityChoosing Laval university is also choosing to live in Quebec City, the capital of the province of Quebec and one of the most beautiful cities in North America. Historic gateway to the continent, the Old City has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is also a safe city, and brimming with cultural and leisure activities. It celebrated its 400th anniversary in 2008.

CSU history majors participate in the program at this university but other majors will be considered.

Costs

Students pay a $100 application fee when applying to Laval. Transient students pay an additional $50 transient fee.

Students pay Columbus State University in-state tuition and fees (HOPE and other scholarships can apply). Dorm and meal plan are paid directly to Laval. 

Requirements

Students must have completed 45 credit hours, have +3.0 GPA and understand spoken and written French to participate.
