Latin American Studies minor
The Latin American Studies minor provides students with an interdisciplinary course of study focusing on an area of the world of increasing importance for citizens of Georgia. The Latino population in Georgia numbers nearly 500,000 and will reach 825,000 by 2010. At present, Latin America is responsible for more international investment in Georgia than any other world region. TSYS and other Columbus businesses are already active in the Latin American market.
The Latin American Studies minor requires 18 semester credit hours. At least 15 of the 18 credit hours must be at the 3000 level or higher and must not include more than three courses from the same discipline.
