Business in South KoreaThis program will examine the relationship between culture and business focusing on the importance and influence of culture in doing international business at a national level, especially from a comparative perspective. With South Korea, which has achieved dramatic success in the world economy, students will have the opportunity to study the effects of culture on business decision making by engaging in class project assignments which are mirrored with similar projects simultaneously prepared by students at local universities in Korea. Students will also participate in diverse field trips to worldwide companies and other cultural sites as well as meet with people from business, government, academic and culture areas in Korea. Program HighlightsBusan: Stay at the Guest House at Pukyong National University, city tour of Busan, field trip to Pohang Steel Company, field trip to Hyundai-Kia Motor Company manufacturing plant, field trip to international shipping port in Busan, party at Gwanganri Beach. Seoul: Field trip to the Seoul Palace and Historical Street, field trip to Hyundai-Kia R & D Center, work with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
